Andhra Chicken fry
Mmmmmmm...... Chicken fry a mouth watering dish.This is one of my favorite chicken dish and most popular in Andhra.
Prep Time:15 mins
Cook Time:40 mins
Serves:3-4
Ingredients:
Cleaned and washed chicken -1/2 Kg
Ginger and Garlic paste - 1 1/2 tsp
Tomatoes - 2 (finely chopped)
Onions - 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
Garam Masala - 2tsp
Green chillies-4 (slit into halves)
Curd-1tbs
Others:
Cooking Oil - 3-4 tbs
Cloves- 2
Cardamom- 1
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Chilli Powder- 2tsp
Salt-As per taste
Mint leaves-2tbs (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves-2tbs (finely chopped)
Curry leaves- 5-6
Method:
1.In a bowl add the chicken, 1tsp Ginger and Garlic paste, turmeric powder,salt,chilli powder, garam masala,curd,curry leaves.Mix well and let it marinate for 10mins.
2.Heat the oil in a pan and add the cloves and cardamom
3.Then add the onions and Green chillies and fry them till they are golden brown.Now add 1/2 tsp of ginger and garlic paste,fry it for a minute.
4.Add the chicken mixture, tomatoes and mint leaves,mix it well and close the lid.
5.Let the chicken cook for 25 mins,stir after every 5 mins.
6.Remove the lid and fry the chicken till all the water evaporates.
7.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
